The Multi-award winning Swansea Half Marathon will return on Sunday 11^th June 2023.

It’s a course with great PB potential and has won several accolades including the UK’s best half marathon!

It’s Wales’ BIGGEST and BEST summer race so join to #BeYourBest as the course takes you from the city to the sea!  Whether you’re an elite athlete or a first-timer this race is perfect for any ability, so make sure you get a charity place to #RunSwansea 2023!

Join team Hospice of the Valleys today!

Hospice of the Valleys is delighted to announce this NEW and EXCITING opportunity with 15 charity places available and we would love to have you join our team.

Help us by fundraising to continue to provide the exceptional care and support to patients and their loved ones who need it most in Blaenau Gwent.

The Hospice has to pay for every charity place at a cost of £54.00 and is why we have had to introduce a £10 registration fee and ask our runners to raise a minimum of £150.00 sponsorship and of course you don’t have to stop there!  We will support you every step of the way with your fundraising.

Please note registration fee is non refundable under any circumstances including but not limited to illness, injury, holidays, pregnancy change in shift pattern, military deployment and also including if the organisers of Swansea Half cancel or postpone the event.  Please ensure you read the Hospice Terms and Conditions.

To claim your charity place, click on the Im in! button below and complete our Hospice form.  Once you have submitted this form please check your emails for a reply from the Hospice with further information on what to do next.

If you’ve already signed up take part in June 2023 and want to support the Hospice then we would love to hear from you and can begin supporting you right away.

As part of Team Hospice of the Valleys you will receive;

• Your free technical running t-shirt,
• Support from a dedicated fundraising team member with hints and tips to maximise your fundraising,
• Regular communications and a good luck video prior to the event,
• Be part of our Hospice Runners What’s App group for sharing tips, motivation, updates and more,
• Half Marathon training and preparation plan,
• Support to contact and join a local park run club / running club,
• And of course supporting you on the day with a cheer station and group selfie before the start.

Reasons to do it…

 There are many reasons to run the Swansea Half Marathon for Hospice of the Valleys – whether it’s in memory of a loved one, because you, a family or friend has received support from the Hospice, to push and challenge yourself or simply because you need somewhere to wear your costume…What are you waiting for?

The minimum age for our charity place is 18 years old.
