Consultant
Our Consultant is a specialist in Palliative Care. His role is to visit patients with complex or difficult symptoms. He provides support and advice to the Hospice staff and to GPs and hospital doctors.
Clinical Administration
Our Clinical Admin Team may be your first point of contact at the Hospice. They will take your referral and can assist with directing your call to the appropriate service or by taking a message if a member of the clinical team is not available.
Nursing Team
Our Community Palliative Care Nursing Team look after patients and their carers who prefer to be supported at home, enabling them to stay in familiar surroundings rather than being admitted to hospital.
Hospice at Home Team
Hospice at Home can provide care for patients in their own home at day or night. This service is extra to the care provided by other services such as home carers. This service is allocated and given to patients with greater need.
Therapies Team
Our Physiotherapist and Complementary Therapists can help patients to manage their symptoms. They aim to help patients and their families to live their lives to the full no matter what illness they may have.
Family Support Team
Our Social Workers and Welfare Rights Advisors can help manage some of the challenges that come alongside a patient’s illness. They can support families and help access benefits, make plans for the future and if needed can offer bereavement support.
Chaplaincy
Our Chaplain can assist families with any spiritual needs they may have. If necessary, we can signpost to other denominations, or support networks.
