At Hospice of the Valleys we are dedicated to developing and delivering excellent education and training to all Health and Social Care professionals who care for patients with palliative care needs.
By educating Health and Social Care professionals on the principles and practice of palliative care we are ensuring that the work force responsible for providing patient care are able to deliver a high standard of palliative care.
Our staff are specialists in delivering compassionate and the highest quality of palliative and end of life care and we want to share our knowledge with others.
Types of training available include:
- An Introduction to the Principles and Practice of Palliative and End of Life Care For Registered Health Care Professionals – 2 Day Course – Click here for more info
- The Principles and Practice of Palliative and End of Life Care For Health Care Support Workers and Social Carers – 1 Full Day. This training is run through partnership working with the Blaenau Gwent and Caerphilly Borough Social Services Training and Development Workforce Department Cwm Taf.
We also run a bi-monthly Link Group for health care professionals from a range of disciplines throughout Blaenau Gwent with representatives from; district nurses, community hospitals, Care Homes and the Community Resource Team.
