For a second year, we’re proud to stand with over 125 hospice across the UK, for the “This is Hospice Care” campaign, brought together by Hospice UK.

Hospice care is more than you think, and it’s closer than you know. Somewhere in your life, in your family, your friendships, your community – hospice care is already making a difference in ways you might not expect.

But just as this incredible support wouldn’t exist without hospices, hospice care wouldn’t exist without you.

We rely heavily on charitable donations to keep our doors open. That’s why we’ve come together to shine a light on the essential role hospices play in our communities and protect our futures.

Including a gift in your Will to Hospice of the Valleys will help ensure the people in your local community, will be looked after now and for generations to come.

You can make a difference

Every gift big or small will make a difference and ensure the people in your local community are looked after. We realize your priority is likely to be your family, friends and loved ones, but you also have the opportunity to make a difference to future generations.

How to support future patients and their loved ones in your Will

If you don’t have a Will already, you can take advantage of our free Will campaign, which is happening during the months of February and March. Whereby local solicitors will write a basic or mirror Will for free (with a suggested donation back to the Hospice)

Or you can contact your own solicitor to arrange you’re Will. You will need to ensure your solicitor has our full name, registered charity number and address (this can be found below) together with the details of the gift you would like to leave to the Hospice, and they will do the rest.

Alternatively if you already have a Will and would now like to include a gift to the Hospice you can simply update your existing Will and your solicitor can advise you on how to do this.

Why should I write a Will?

An up to date Will is the only way to ensure that your wishes are carried out and that loved ones and causes that are important to you benefit from your Will. Otherwise the government can decide how your estate is divided.

It is important to remember when writing your Will that it may need to be updated if your circumstances change.

Raymond’s lasting gift

“He wanted to say thank you and also help the Hospice keep going in the future”

Raymond left a gift of £2,000 to the Hospice in his Will when he passed away in March 2023, because he wanted to give something back following the care and support given to his late partner, Amy, when she had bowel cancer.

Raymond’s grand-daughter Helen states:
