In honour of her grandparents, Lindsey decided to take the brave step of cutting her hair to raise money for Hospice of the Valleys. This is what she said about her experience:

“Myself and my husband have gone through a lot over the past few months/years with losing a number of family members, most recently my Nannie June in December and my father in law Julian Brooks in January. Hospice of the Valleys played an important part of my Nan’s life during the end stages and their care and support was outstanding. Julian himself supported Hospice of the valleys as they helped his mother during her life time.

Julian and Chris completed the 3 peaks challenge together a few years back in support of Hospice of the valleys. I however, am not quite in the same physical condition as Julian and Chris to be climbing mountains. So instead, as my friends and family will already know, all my life I have always had long thick hair, but now I am going to cut my hair to raise money for the Hospice and donate it to the Princess Trust Charity where they make wigs for children that suffer with cancer or any other hair losing illnesses. For more information take a look at www.littleprincesses.org.uk.”

Lindsey has raised over £700 for the Hospice (including gift aid) not to mention supporting the Princess Trust Charity in donating her hair. We just wanted to say a huge thank you to Lindsey and everyone who sponsored her. Below are her before and after pictures:
