Take on Pen y Fan 10 times for Hospice of the Valleys

Looking for your next challenge? Take on 10yFan – climb Pen y Fan up to 10 times in 24 hours next May 2027 – while raising vital funds for Hospice of the Valleys.

Date: Saturday 8 – Sunday 9 May 2027

Start: 6pm
Location: Pen y Fan, starting from Pont Ar Daf car park
Challenge: Climb Pen y Fan 10 times within 24 hours
Hospice registration: £25     Fundraising target: £350

• 📏 Total Distance: 64 km
• ⛰️ Total Ascent: 29,070 feet, which is roughly the height of Mount Everest (29,029 feet)

You don’t have to complete all 10 climbs.  Take on as many as you feel able to, with the ultimate challenge being to reach the summit 10 times.

The challenge starts at 6pm and continues through the evening, overnight and into the following day.  Participants can take breaks throughout the 24 hours.

Pen y Fan reaches 886 metres (2,907 feet), and mountain conditions can be unpredictable, particularly overnight. Participants should have a reasonable level of fitness and be prepared with suitable walking footwear, warm and waterproof clothing, food, water and a head torch with spare batteries.

Event marshals and first-aid personnel will be supporting participants throughout the challenge.
