Abergavenny 3 Peaks

4th July 2026

Take on the Abergavenny 3 Peaks Challenge in support of Hospice of the Valleys!

This stunning 33km circular route showcases Abergavenny’s three iconic peaks—The Blorenge, Sugar Loaf and Skirrid Fawr. With 1,493m of elevation packed into one unforgettable day, this challenge offers sweeping views, rugged trails and a true test of endurance.

Perfectly positioned in close proximity to the town centre, the three peaks create a natural loop showcasing the lesser-known beauty of the Black Mountains and the rich cultural landscape of Monmouthshire.

Whether you’re building fitness, wanting to explore the countryside or simply seeking a meaningful adventure, this event is for all levels and you’ll receive plenty of group support.

By the finish, you’ll have conquered three beautiful Welsh mountains—and helped raise vital funds for Hospice of the Valleys. A rewarding day in every sense.

Three peaks, one great cause. Ready to take on the challenge?

Event Information

Fundraising:  Your incredible fundraising is what enables Hospice of the Valleys to be there for patients and their loved ones when they need us most. When you sign up, you’ll receive a welcome pack that includes a sponsorship form, and we encourage all participants to set up a JustGiving page to make fundraising simple and shareable.

We’re asking each walker to raise a minimum of £200—an amount that makes a real difference in helping us continue providing vital care and support to local families. Every pound you raise truly matters.

Duration:  This event is not a race—everyone will walk together at a steady, comfortable pace. The 33km route typically takes around 12  hours, including time for comfort breaks and a brief lunch stop.

Event Support:  You’ll be fully supported throughout the day. There will be experienced walk leaders at the front and rear of the group, with additional leaders positioned in between if group size requires it. A member of the team will be present at each scheduled stop to cheer you on, provide water and basic snacks, offer essential first aid, and assist with transport back to the start point if needed.
