Parc Bryn Bach – 27th April 2025

What a day! Glorious sunshine set the stage for another successful Hospice Six Mile Race and Junior One Mile Run at Parc Bryn Bach. This year was particularly meaningful as we dedicated the event to the memory of Damian Williams, a true gentleman and key supporter of the race, widely respected in the running community. Participants wore green ribbons in his honour, and the awards were named after him.

We were thrilled to welcome 256 participants—both in person and virtually—from near and far, including our friend Roman in San Francisco! Your support means everything.

Our future stars lit up the course with incredible energy as they took on the 1-mile loop around the lake.
🏅 Ted Lancaster – First Male: 05:35
🏅 Betty Lancaster – First Female: 05:36

Some lightning-fast times and big smiles—we can’t wait to see what the future holds for these young athletes!

A picturesque but challenging 6-mile route around the lake and golf course tested our senior runners.

🥇 Ewelina Ciesielska – First Female: 40:50

Huge congratulations to all participants for their incredible efforts!

This event wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated team. A massive thank you to Lee, Brian, Andrew, Bethan, Parc Bryn Bach Running Club, Junior Parkrun, all our volunteers, and the fantastic Parc Bryn Bach staff.

A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors: Metro Rod | Family Vision | Tredegar Town Council…and to every local business and organisation that lent their support.

🎉 TOGETHER, WE RAISED OVER £7,000!

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ve raised over £7,000 to support hospice care. Your kindness makes a real difference.

See you next year!
Until then—keep running, stay inspired, and thank you for being part of such a special event.
