Well what another ‘ACE’ day we had for our third Hospice Charity Golf Day. Albeit hot and humid, it remained dry and players were all in great spirits.
Joined by 64 golfing enthusiasts the competition was on to see who would be crowned Hospice Corporate Golf Day Champions 2023! After sinking the final ball in the 18th hole, it was back to the 19th watering hole for the all-important presentation where AM Brickwork retained their champions title for a second year running – well done AM Brickwork, who have also announced they will be returning as head line sponsors next year and defending their title. Well done to Anthony Williams who won the prestigious award for Longest Drive and Shaun Howells for Nearest Pin.
After a delicious 2 course meal the evening was concluded with our raffle and auction where we had some tremendous prizes donated and were thoroughly entertained by our Hospice Ambassador and the very talented actor and comedian Steve Speirs.
I am delighted to announce that the Golf Day has raised a ‘putt’tastic £12,400 – wow! This is absolutely incredible and we can’t thank you all enough.
Everyone at the Hospice would like to give their most sincere thank you to everyone who supported the day; players, sponsors, evening guests, prize donators and well done to those who were raffle winners and successful auction bidders, you are all ‘teemendous’.
Special thanks to our Headline Corporate Sponsor AM Brickwork, Karl McCarthy our amazing photographer, Steve Speirs our fabulous host and the wonderful staff at The Vale Resort.
