Many people rely on transport to attend Hospice groups, activities and support services. As a Patient Transport Volunteer, you'll help people access the support they need by providing safe, reliable transport to and from Hospice activities. Your time can make a real difference in helping people remain connected to their community and the support available to them.
Volunteer drivers use their own vehicle to transport people to Hospice groups and activities, assisting them to and from the vehicle before and after their visit. Fuel expenses are reimbursed.
We're looking for friendly, reliable volunteers who enjoy meeting people and want to support others in a practical way. A good driving record, a caring approach and a commitment to helping people feel comfortable and confident are all important.
Volunteers are central to how we support people and their loved ones. By joining our transport volunteer team, you'll help ensure that people can continue accessing the groups, activities and support that matter most to them while making a meaningful difference in your local community.
Interested in volunteering as a driver? We'd love to hear from you.
