Claire and Lloyd are a mother and son duo who are taking the plunge and skydiving on Saturday 7th September.

Here’s their story of why.

The Hospice of the Valleys cared for and supported Claire’s sister 12 years ago who sadly lost her brave battle to cancer.  More recently, the Hospice was there to help care for and support Claire’s beloved Father and Lloyd’s Grancha who too has sadly passed away.

The Hospice was not only there to care for these two very special people but for the whole family.

Claire says

The support given was amazing and we can’t thank them enough.

We saw the opportunity of the Hospice charity skydive and thought this is our chance to give something back and to help support other patients and families in need like us.

The skydive will not only be something amazing for us to do together whilst raising vital funds for the Hospice but on the weekend of the skydive Mam and Dad would have been married for 60 years, so Lloyd and I are taking the plunge 60 years after they did!

It will be a very special and emotional day for us.  We are looking forward to jumping out of the plane and being welcomed back down to earth by our wonderful family and friends and celebrating this occasion.
