Cheryl’s Dad Darryl was diagnosed with Oesophagus Cancer in January 2021, sadly he only accessed the Hospice services for several weeks as he died on 1st March 2021.

The Hospice not only cared for Dad, but they also supported us a family and provided practical help to make sure things were set up for Mam and gave much needed advice. This is why I am so passionate about raising money for the Hospice, to allow them to support other families in the local community who need support”

In  Dad’s memory, Cheryl has gone on to raise an incredible £6,500 for the Hospice, she has done this in a variety of ways from organising her own raffles and coffee mornings, to even taking on our 6 Mile race and this year is even taking on the National 3 Peaks challenge.

The summer raffle is yet another way that you can help, with every ticket you buy or sell, you will be helping us to continue being there to support patients like Darryl and his daughter Cheryl, now and in the future.

Your generosity will enable us to continue being there, making sure anyone with a life limiting illness across Blaenau Gwent has access to the best possible care and support, wherever and whenever they need it. Allowing them to spend quality time with their loved ones, making precious memories.
