Well, it certainly feels as though it has rained constantly for 40 days and 40 nights, but we think we have something that is sure to bring the Spring Vibes at long last whilst raising vital funds for Hospice of the Valleys.
Could you take part in our annual Hospice Go Yellow Day and be the rays of sunshine we know that you are, shining a light on our Hospice and team that works tirelessly to bring support, comfort and care to our patients and their loved ones when it is needed the most.
Each year we say it is the biggest yet but for 2026 we would love to see as many people as possible wearing something Yellow on Friday 1st May to show support for the Hospice, last year you helped to raise an outstanding £7378, however, with your support we believe this year we could do even better.
Once again Go Yellow is proudly sponsored by Synergy Plastics based in Crumlin, we are asking our Community Groups, Schools, Businesses and Individual Fundraisers to show their support wearing yellow or just add something yellow to your outfit that day. You can also display our Yellow Sunflower Posters in your window to support our Hospice Team who are out in the Community delivering our services where the demand is as high as ever.
All we ask if for a suggested donation of £1 or whatever you would like to give.
Supporting is so easy, can you?
· Wear something Yellow in School, College, Work or at home with your family, why not take a picture and e mail to julie.williams@hospiceofthevalleys.com
· Bake some yummy yellow themed cakes or dishes and get the family involved asking for a donation to the Hospice.
· Organise a coffee morning, for those who enjoy a daily take out Coffee why not donate to the cost of your typical drink to the Hospice.
· Colour in our Go Yellow flower downloadable template and display in your window or display the pre- coloured version.
· Host your own Go Yellow Quiz – you can even ask the kids to come up with the questions and challenge the family at home or online.
· Or do it Yellow your way…we would love to see what yellow inspired activities that you can come up with!
