It is as the name suggests: a bare foot walk over red-hot wood embers measuring around 800 degrees. No tricks\, no special effects. Just you and the fire. \nThe decision to walk across the coals is dramatically life changing. Not because you have decided to fire walk in itself\, but because you have consciously decided not to let your fear inhibit your actions. Once you take the power away from fear\, there is really nothing stopping you. After all if you can walk safely across hot coals what else is possible? \n  \nGlass walking explained; \n“Glass walking is the act of walking barefoot over a bed of broken glass.  Not flat plate glass but curved broken bottles.  The glass is real and the sharp edges have not been removed”! Time4Change \nFour metres of smashed sterile wine bottle glass lie before you\, the centrepiece of a glass walking event. You’re invited to walk across – could you? \nGlass walking isn’t just about beating fear\nMany of you will have heard the expression “walking on egg shells”\, which is a metaphor to explain how an individual may feel in a temperamental or fragile relationship. Walking on glass is an exercise in challenging and developing the mind/body connection. It can prove to be a rewarding and unforgettable experience in your journey to a greater understanding of how to breakdown sub conscious and deep routed fears we carry around with us. \n  \n \n  \n \n\n\n  \nMeet our Corporate Sponsor\nHowden is thrilled to extend its support to the Hospice of the Valleys. The hospice holds a special place in the hearts of our employees and the broader community in which we live and operate. We take pride in backing their exceptional community work and aspire to sustain this partnership for years to come. As a demonstration of our commitment\, we are honoured to sponsor the 2024 Fire & Glass Walk. \n\n\n  \nPhoto Gallery\n     \n  \n \n\n\nTestimonies\nSharren Elliott Posted to Time4Change \n“In all honesty\, I was probably dreading the training session a little bit more than the fire walk itself- I was so wrong! – The training session was one of the best experiences I have had – the whole night was unbelievable and I can’t recommend it enough as a “must do” if you ever get the opportunity – thank you for a fabulous night and experience!” \n  \n“Cliff was inspirational when training a group of novices to fire walk. His motivational techniques were superb\, and use of NLP skills in the non-corporate environment could just as easily been translated into the workplace. I shall certainly be recommending the activity to my company as a great growth exercise\, and recommending Cliff as a towering force of positivity!” \n  \nLiz Silvester posted to Time4Change \nA brilliant evening in Eastbourne last night.  Never firewalked before and was a little nervous.  After two hours of listening to Cliff\, the firewalk was a doddle.  In fact\, I think I could have done anything.  Still feel like that today!  Thank you Cliff. \n  \nHelen Pirie posted to Time4Change \nI feel quite humbled by the whole experience last night – such an incredible inner peace – the community spirit\, the amazing organisations\, the amount raised – just wonderful! Like I said to Mia Sampietro… I expected empowerment\, elation and a feeling of ‘if I can do this\, I can do anything!’  What I didn’t expect was an amazing inner silence and the realisation that I had that strength in me all along.  Thank you so much – the talk you gave along with the actual firewalking experience will stick with me!
