SUMMARY:Chase the Christmas Pudding Festive Family Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:What could be more amusing leading up to the Christmas period than getting out your festive costumes\, chasing a giant Christmas Pudding all while having fun and raising vital funds for Hospice of the Valleys \n  \n \n  \nForget training or worrying about how fast you can complete it; this Festive Fun Run is all about dressing up\, being with friends and family and supporting a good local cause. \nYou can run\, jog\, dance\, skip or walk 2 laps of the scenic lake whilst chasing our giant Christmas Pudding.  Or take part virtually in your own local community. \nFeel free to wear your own costume; elves\, Santa reindeer\, turkeys are all welcome – in fact anything    Christmassy!  We’ll have a prize for the best fancy dress too. \nThe event is family friendly and wheelchair accessible; push prams are welcome so why not make it a family effort.  Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome to join us too. \nThere will be Christmas music to raise the spirits\, raffle and well deserved hot and cold refreshments available in the Visitors Centre.  Changing facilities and parking available on site. \n  \nThose taking part virtually can also chase the pudding by recording your 5km and the fastest time will receive a prize! \n  \n  \n  \nWhen: Sunday 29th November 2026\nWhere: Parc Bryn Bach\, Tredegar. NP22 3AY  or Virtually\nTime: 10.30am\nPrice: £10.00 adults (18 +)\, £6.00 child (4 – 17). Family £32.00 (up to 2 x ad & 3 x ch). All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult around the course. Dogs £3.00\nSo go on join the fun; it’s going to be pud-tastic! \nEveryone who enters will receive a Santa hat to help keep your heads warm and look great for Santa selfies!  With some great festive treats on offer for everyone too; \n  \nAdults will receive a hot chocolate sachet and snack on us. \n  \nChildren will receive festive Christmas treats\, hot chocolate sachet and snack. \n  \nDogs will receive a bandanna and finishers treat. \n\n  \n \n  \nHo Ho Ho! It would only be right to have a special visit from a very special guest\, yes\, Santa will be dropping by to see you all\, start the fun run and spend some time with us. \n  \n  \n\n  \nWe have an amazing fundraising incentive too!\n  \n \nRaise £50.00 or more and receive FREE entry into our Christmas Hamper Prize Draw.  This will pay for 1 hour of our CARIAD Activity Group\, supporting patients to access weekly activities\, reduce social isolation and brings carers together for peer support or rest bite; \nSponsorship must be raised and received at the Hospice by 14th December to be in with a chance to win. \n  \n  \nHow to get started?\n  \nIt couldn’t be easier\, just follow these simple steps: \n  \n  Sign up to the Chase the Christmas Pudding Festive Fun Run by clicking on Im In Sign Me Up button.  You will receive an email welcome pack. \n  \n  Set up your fundraising page by linking to the Hospice of the Valleys Chase The Christmas Pudding Festive Fun Run Campaign on Just Giving. \n  \n  Attend the event – your runner packs will be available to collect on the day of the event at the registration desk. \n  \nThose participating virtually \n  Upload to the face book event page or email fundraising@hospiceofthevalleys.com your evidence of time.  This must be done by 30pm Monday 30th November 2026. \n  \n Once your sponsorship has been raised and received by 14th December\, we will announce the winner. \n  \n \n\n \nClick on Just Giving Button for link \n  \n \nClick on Face Book Button for link \n  \n  \nBy submitting a registration form\, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. \n  \nPlease note Hospice of the Valleys reserves the right to change any entry items\, incentive rewards or prizes without prior notice. \n  \nProudly supported by;\n \n  \nEGNI Children’s Activity Centre is a cross between Ninja style and Parkour\, where children have the opportunity to climb\, slide\, crawl and jump etc\, negotiating obstacles designed to challenge all their motor skills.  We have a cafe providing hot meals and confectionary\, along with hot and cold drinks.  We’ve added Nerf style play and Lazer Tag\, along with a small soft play area and colour and craft.  The age range is up to 10yrs\, and we run general sessions that can be booked online\, along with exclusive and non exclusive parties.  Additionally we cater for schools\, charities\, clubs and organisations. \n. \n  \n  \nLewis Lines and Wilkes are a local firm of solicitors who are proud to be supporting the work of Hospice of the Valleys and sponsor their Christmas Pudding Family Fun Run. \n\n\nFamily Finance Group\, based in Tredegar\, is a trusted family business that provides a wide variety of household goods and products as well as providing financial services. We are proud as part of the community to support Hospice of the Valleys and aim to give back to the Community that supports us. Our partnership with the Hospice has already raised over £13\,000 and reflects a shared commitment to care\, compassion and community wellbeing.
