DESCRIPTION:Savour the breathtaking scenery and hike for a loved one this September and help rise vital funds for the Hospice to be there for patients and their loved ones when they need us the most. \n\n \n\nChallenge Details\nDate: Saturday 5th September 2026 \nTime: 7.45am meet for 8.30am start  (please allow time to register and collect your buff and t shirt) \nLocation: \nCost: Registration Fee £15.00   Sponsorship £150.00 \nWhat’s included: A fully guided hike with qualified walk instructors.  Hospice t-shirt and buff. \n  \nRoute; New route coming soon! \n  \nA good level of fitness is required but very rewarding. \n  \nEvent Information \nFundraising: Your amazing fundraising is what helps the Hospice be there for patients and their loved ones when they need us the most.  You are encouraged to set up a Just Giving Page a sponsorship form will also be emailed to you as pack of your welcome pack when you sign up. \nWe are asking walkers to raise a minimum of £150 which will help us to be there for patients and their loved one when they need us the most. \n \nDuration: The event is not a race; everyone will walk together at a comfortable pace.  The 13-miles should take approximately 7 hours which allows for a few comfort stops and brief lunchbreak. \nEvent Support; There will be a walk leader at the front and rear and if numbers require an additional walk leader per group in-between.  A member of the team will be on hand at each of the scheduled stop to cheer you on and encourage you\, water and basic snack refuelling\, basic first aid and if there is a requirement to take anyone back to the start location. \n  \nFitness: \n  \n \n  \n  \nKit: \n \n  \n\n  \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \n
