Six Mile Race and One Mile Run

April 26

The Hospice has been closely monitoring the situation surrounding the COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) outbreak.  As as such, the decision has been made to postpone the Hospice of the Valleys Six Mile Race and Junior One Mile Run, which was initially planned to take place on Sunday 26th April at Parc Bryn Bach.

This decision has not been made lightly, but very much feel the well-being, safety and interest of our Hospice runners, volunteers, spectators and event staff is paramount.

The Hospice has been working with event support partners to secure an alternative date for the delayed event, and will confirm this as soon as possible – thank you for your understanding and patience in this unprecedented time.

The Hospice of the Valleys Six Mile Race and Junior One Mile Run is set in the scenic grounds of Parc Bryn Bach, and takes full advantage of this beautiful setting.

Whether you’re an advanced runner, enjoying park run life, social running or want to set yourself a challenge, aged over 17, then the Senior Six Mile Race is for you.

Back by popular demand and to support and encourage our little runners we are pleased to offer our 4-16 years olds our Junior One Mile Run.  We advise children aged 4-7 years to run with a responsible adult aged 18+.

To be able to confirm your booking for the Junior One Mile Run, we request an adult name during registration of whom will run with or collect the child at the finish area of the run.

Meet our supporters

Family Finance – Family Vision are pleased to support Hospice of the valleys as our chosen charity for 2020 as we feel this is a fantastic charity who are great to be in partnership with as we have supported them previously.

Hospice personnel do amazing work in the community and through their organised fundraising events makes it easy and enjoyable to raise money collectively for such a worthwhile cause whilst building it in with effective team building for our staff.

Besides taking part in a number of events this year we are glad to be one of their main sponsors this year in their fantastic Six Mile Race and Junior One Mile Run on Sunday 26th April.

Metro Rod Newport & Hereford have had a continuous affinity with the Hospice of the Valleys, having previously sponsored events and carried out fundraising.

The hospice are our chosen Charity of the Year and we will aim to raise funds through various initiatives throughout the year. The hospice is close to the hearts of many members of our staff and to the wider community we reside and work within.

We are proud to support the outstanding work they carry out in the community and hope to continue our association for many years to come.
